Megan Cox

Megan Cox is a movement therapist and bodyworker, whose practice in art manifests through physical performance.

Her background as an anthropologist allows her to draw from the wisdom of many cultures to question the forced impact of widespread social trauma, and its effects on our physico-psycho-emotional bodies.

Lately, she is preoccupied by understanding the body’s response to stress – and how to use that knowledge as a tool of empowerment and transformation.

Her current piece, On Subtlety, frames her experience over the past year as a social body among the MeToo movement, questioning methods by which women have been socialized to protect a patriarchy that hasn’t protected them.
